Safety profession is a dignified Job

Why safety officers are over loaded in India and why 90% of those candidates goes jobless or work for poor salaries?

The first answer is the lack of quality. We want quality not quantity. I will explain the main reason behind this. 90% safety students in India are not properly educated. Many don’t have any graduation and some of them are not even passed 12th grade. Then they straight come into do a 1 year safety diploma. Safety institutions are giving this diploma with a 15 or 30 day class. So basically it’s just a 1 month course and the certificate come with 1 year. You dont need any skill to pass this exam. Even if you write pure wrong answers they still give you pass mark because these are evaluating by the institutions itself. The institutions want business so they give pass mark to all students. Even if you don’t write the exam they may still give the diploma certificate. That’s what i said the quality is pathetic.

Who is the main culprit behind this?

Safety institutions are the main culprit behind this. They purely want business. They brain wash the young students by telling that just 10th or 12th + Diploma is needed and you can become safety officers in gulf and can earn 50k to 4 lakh. So those students think that ya i can become a rich man in future. My dears they are purely cheating you. No good companies hire low quality safety officers.

What should i do to become a quality safety officer?

If you want to become a quality safety officer. The first thing you needed is a quality regular degree preferably technical or science. Then do nebosh igc which is the only international recognised certification which is accepted by world wide. Nebosh igc cannot be passed like your pay and take useless safety diploma. It can be only passed by proper studying. You also want good English written and verbal skills along with good presentation skills. The irony is that 95% safety Officers in India can’t even speak,  read or write English properly. Then how can they become safety officers. Think before act.

Then what is the solution?

Dear candidates. Come to safety field only if you have the skills. Iam telling you again that you will never ever get a good job with such poor quality and skills. You may get some job in local companies for poor salaries. That’s wont do anything for you other than wasting your life.

What is the proof?

For example just open the linked in app and search for high companies and their safety officers. Eg Qatar Petroleum, KOC, KNPCC, ADNOC, . You will see their skills and qualifications in their profile. They are getting huge salaries coz they are highly skilled highly educated safety officers/safety engineers. Most of them are B.Tech, Mtech, Msc, Nebosh igc, nebosh idip, grad iosh, cmiosh candidates.

I never seen a 10+2 candidate working in these above mentioned companies. why? No good companies will allow you without a strong degree. They also want highly skilled candidates.

Am not demotivating any students. Am telling you that you will struggle in your life if you dont have these skills. First of all try to find what is your skills and choose studies, profession according to that. Dont come straight into the safety field by hearing the words of safety institutions or any other peer groups.

All the best.

Learn the difference between the two, and how to prevent accidents. Which gas really Cuts better? Let’s go on and discuss some advantages and disadvantages of our contenders… ACETYLENE Advantages: • Acetylene produces the hottest flame temperature for oxy fuel cutting and welding • The hotter temperature creates a quicker piercing of materials • Oxy acetylene can be used on sites with no power supply • It is quite a versatile process and can be used to weld most metals.
